Memory Lane

I don't normally do these things but thought it would be fun. I mostly just hate the tag your it scenerios but this one is okay because it is you talking about me instead of me talking about myself.

A walk down memory lane
Heres a little game! Leave a comment on my blog of a memory that you and I have had together. It doesn't matter if you've known me for a short time, or a long time, anything you remember! Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you.Ready, Set, GO!

I remember that one time, in high school, when we were making out with those girls at The Edge......wait, I hope this was Mark that posted this blog!

If this was Nat's post then I remember first meeting you at RMR and Mark was so excited about meeting the girl that would be his first kiss. He was such a good boy!

I remember this one time when I first met this really awesome girl that was marrying my boyfriends brother. I thought she was a babe and she was the greatest because she loved sports!! She was so easy to get along with and I loved her! And then some years later, she was part of my family :)

Who knew that she was the worlds best cook, softball player and mother:) I love every time that we are invited to partake of her meals!! I love that she can hit the ball as far as the guys and that she too gets nervous gas before our games. She is an inspiration to me in many ways :)Who else could teach their boy to fart on command? None other then the fabulous Nutters!! I could go on and on, but I will save it for another time. (oh and did I mention she watches the sweetest shows :) Love you Nat

Hanging out with the girl who was so funny that you laughed harder than with any other friend. Talking about how cute african american males are and how taboo it was to think that. Feeling like I could be myself whenever I was around her. Renewing our friendship after so many years and feeling like not a day had gone by. Love you Natalie!

Hiding from our boss in a heaping pile of paper boxes, singing with Celine Dion, and endless hours of phase 10 - or was it skip-bo? I don't know, but whatever the game was, I'm sure I won every time. "The Office" should have been about us. You made working in a copy center the most fun job I've ever had.

I remember lots and lots of trips to the Olive Garden and Chick-fil-a and Panda Express with you, Jen & Susan. And I remember eating in the little hidden file room where we could talk crap about everyone and no one could hear us or know where to even find us! And I remember coming to your house for a JWHM BBQ and having fun - and Mark eating his corn on the cob over the sink so he wouldn't make a mess. We had some good times, huh!

Ok, you wanted a comment from your cool Aunt.. I'll try not to embarass you too much. The thing I will never forget about you Nat is the blue darts, you had to, just had to, show everyone and anyone who came over to your house. Too funny!! I also have a lot of fun memories from going to most of your basketball games. I miss that.. can't wait until Ashlyn is old enough to play ball and I can come and cheer her on. I could tell a lot more stories, but you might not speak to me again :o) Love ya, Karen

Hmmm I think back to Manager's Meetings and the goofing off and rolling our eyes at some people - Mike Y. AND remember when we had that party at your house P.K. (pre-kids) and that girl from Jones Waldo came who said she had tried out for the FBI and could run a mile in like 4 minutes and she was WAYYY too chubby for that! (I'm chubby, so I can say that.)

All I know is that I will be very cautious of ever getting on a trampoline with Natalie again! Unfortunately most of my early memories are not good ones - you stealing, staining and hiding my clothes and then you running from me and locking yourself in the bathroom because you knew I hit hard. Thank goodness we get a long so much better now that we don't live together! Now I enjoy the time we do get to spend together and watching our kids hug and kiss and say they are going to marry each other.

So many fun ones...many involve girl's camp. Like when we ran Odette's underwear up the flagpole and had to hastily retrieve it when the Bishop came for dinner.

And I still laugh when I think about your shart story.

Since you're on a blogging strike until I leave a memory, here it goes. We both know I'd eat up all your commenting space if I listed every memory, so I'll condense it.
Wendy's drive-through almost every day during school lunch hour. Always having a meeting place after classes, school, etc.
Enough sleep overs (without acutal sleep) to qualify us as actual family members in each others families. Trip to St. George before my wedding. Senior year cruise. Burning the holy smokes out of our skin at Seven Peaks each summer. Going to just about every new movie that would come out. Me copying your recipes (BYU casserole, crispy chicken tacos, etc.). Fighting like catty little girls, but returning to best friend status right away. Visiting your mom's grave. Screaming my guts out at your games. Screaming my guts out after the million 3-pointers you made. Not caring how many friends we had, but how good our friends were. You and Coralette Winget calling me on the phone. Journals. Notes. You bought me my first vacuum. Good times, good times.
